Warm Sand

Something about the sound of waves crashing, sand under bare feet, warm sun streaming down, the melding of water and sky into one on the horizon that brings our senses to a place of rest, abandon, simplicity. Summer beckons us to melt into the rhythm of water, sand and sun. It was a time for me, 11 years ago this July, that, like waves crashing overhead, too close to catch my breath, I just could no longer look away from things that broke my heart, things I chose that made chaos out of my life, things that could not be taken back. Realities I could no longer deny.If you find yourself in that place this summer, if you have the complicated isolation of abortion in your past, as a Christian woman who chose the unthinkable and something in your spirit agonizes in secrecy and silence, I invite you to call or email us for information about our bible study. We are just like you....we are Sunday school teachers, bible study leaders, business women, professionals, artists, moms, single, married, students.....we understand the conflict that hides in the recesses of your heart. We long for you to experience in your life what you already know to be true in your mind, but just can't take hold of because, as women, we have betrayed the heart of motherhood and somehow do not know how to deeply embrace the gift: that Gods grace is real, sufficient, that it is for us too...we, who have abortion in our past... Maybe you have heard of Reflections for the first time this weekend at the Beth Moore event. We want you to know that Reflections bible study is available each January in Bakersfield, CA, in Charlotte, NC, and soon, Kansas. We whisper prayers for you to find exactly what God has to bless and refresh you, to find peace, for real, to embrace without distraction the gift of one of those perfect, endless days on sun-washed sand.........
